Currently the USA is requiring ethanol producers to prepare to produce an ever increasing % of their production from, other than food stuff grains. Research is currently under way that will enable Empress trees to be used for ethanol production.
Grains can produce up to 10 tonnes of bio mass (corn at 200bu/acre = approx 5 tonnes plus 5 tonnes of stalks/acre). Empress is capable of approx 50 tonnes of wet/25 tonnes of dry biomass.
We will be pursuing this aggressively.
